Parsha Vayakhel Dial HaYom

Materials and Instructions:

Purchase a pack of paper plates and paper fasteners. Have glue and crayons available. Printout theDial HaYom pages 1 and 2. Photstat each of the pages per child.Photstat the pages a little bigger if your machine has such options, page 1 should be the size of your plate and page 2 should fill the center of the plate if possible, otherwise make adjustments to your project.Have the children color in the pages. Cut out the circles and glue the big circle on to the inside of a paper plate. Take another paper plate and cut out a square just big enough to show one of the pictures on the big circle (see pic).Glue little circle on the inside of the center of this paper plate. Have children color this plate along the edges (see pic). With a pen make a whole in the center of both paper plates and put paper fastener thru this hole to fasten both plates. The result is a Dial HaYom Project that helps to emphasizes that Shabbos is different than the rest of the week.
